O stadionu
Camping World Stadium is located in the West Lakes neighborhood of Orlando, just minutes from downtown, and is one of the most versatile stadiums in the United States. The arena, which has a capacity of 60,219 seats, is owned by the city of Orlando and has undergone several significant renovations since its opening in 1936, with the most extensive taking place from 2013 to 2014 for over $207 million. The stadium annually hosts the prestigious Cheez-It Citrus Bowl college football game and previously served as the home ground for the Orlando City SC football club. It hosts top-tier events from various sports but also world-renowned musical productions. A highlight in the coming years will be the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will see Camping World Stadium host matches as one of twelve American venues.
Historie
Cesta časem
The story of the stadium began in 1936 when the doors of the modestly-sized Orlando Stadium opened. It was soon renamed the Tangerine Bowl, under which it began hosting a college football bowl game of the same name in 1947 — one of the seven oldest bowl games in the USA. In 1983, the Florida Citrus Commission became the main sponsor, leading to the grandstand being named Florida Citrus Bowl. A major renovation leap took place in 1989 when concrete upper levels were added on both sides for $30 million, raising capacity to over 60,000. The year 1994 was a turning point for international prestige as the stadium hosted five matches of the FIFA World Cup. In sweltering heat over 35 °C, with an average attendance exceeding 60,000, teams from Belgium, Morocco, Ireland, Mexico, and the Netherlands competed; the round was a truly dramatic showdown that Orlandoans still remember fondly. At the turn of the millennium, escalators, a new video board, and upgraded sound systems were added. However, the renovation in 2013-2014 for $207 million transformed the outdated stadium into a modern multifunctional arena with fully covered stands, premium skybox suites, and upgraded infrastructure. The first event after the renovation took place on November 22, 2014. In April 2016, Florida Citrus Sports sold naming rights to Camping World, and the stadium received its current name. In 2025, Camping World Stadium hosted matches for the FIFA Club World Cup, with final preparations underway for the 2026 World Cup, for which an additional investment package exceeding $400 million is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2027.

Atmosféra
Den zápasu
The atmosphere at Camping World Stadium is defined by Florida's subtropical climate and the diverse range of events that attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. The annual Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in January is a festive occasion for college football fans: the stands are usually sold out, rival university fans mingle in the parking lots during traditional tailgate parties, and warm Orlando winters ensure that nobody has to worry about snow. In June 1994, the atmosphere was truly different — in sweltering heat over 35 °C, European and African teams competed, and even though it was only the group stages, the sold-out arena lit up with the colors of dozens of countries around the world. Tickets for the legendary WrestleMania XXIV on March 30, 2008, flew off the shelves — that record attendance became the largest in the history of the event, and the main match, where the Undertaker defeated Edge, was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. The stadium also figures prominently on the global concert map: Rolling Stones, U2, and Taylor Swift have filled every seat to capacity. The gardens and spaces around the stadium provide ample room for large pre-game celebrations, and whether it's football, American football, or a musical performance, the warm Florida evening adds an unmistakable Southern charm to every visit.
