Overview
About the stadium
Arena Barueri, officially the Estádio Municipal José Liberatti, is a modern municipal football stadium in the city of Barueri in Greater São Paulo, Brazil. With a capacity of around 31,452 spectators, it ranks among the best-appointed venues in the region and works as a flexible arena hosting a range of clubs and events.
Who uses the arena
The stadium has no single permanent tenant but operates as a shared, rentable ground. Home matches here have been played by clubs such as Grêmio Barueri, Sport Club Barueri and, since 2017, Oeste. The arena has also served as a substitute "home away from home" for major metropolitan clubs — Palmeiras, Santos and São Paulo all staged games here while their own stadiums were being rebuilt.

History
Journey through time
Arena Barueri was inaugurated on 26 May 2007 as a modern municipal venue intended to bring top-flight football to the fast-growing suburbs of São Paulo. From the outset it was used as a home ground by Grêmio Barueri (2007–2010 and 2011–2017).
Clubs and major events
Sport Club Barueri played here between 2010 and 2012, and since 2017 the stadium has been used by Oeste. Its modern facilities made the arena a popular stage for significant matches well beyond league football.
- 2010: women's Copa Libertadores games
- 2012: Copa do Brasil final matches
- 2013: the Brazilian rugby championship final and national-team fixtures
- Substitute venue: Palmeiras, Santos and São Paulo home games during renovations elsewhere
Atmosphere
Matchday
Arena Barueri's strength lies in its versatility. Tied to no single traditional club, it has become an all-purpose stage for football across Greater São Paulo — a place where second-division clashes, cup ties and large concerts all share the same pitch and stands.
The pulse of metropolitan football
When big clubs such as Palmeiras or Santos visit, the stands fill with passionate supporters from across the metropolis and the arena takes on the buzz of a top-flight fixture. The modern design, with stands close to the playing surface, creates a tight and noisy environment.
- Football: home club matches and "away-from-home" fixtures
- Concerts and events: music and cultural shows
- Sport: football, rugby and other disciplines
